London, October 07 (KMS): The UK-based Rory Peck Trust, an international NGO that supports freelance journalists, has announced the name of journalists who made it to the 2022 awards given by the organization for the ‘powerful and intimate footage’ provided by the journalists.
Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir-based freelance journalist, Burhan Butt, is among the four journalists nominated for the prestigious award in News Award Category.
The other journalists are Alexander (Sasha), Ermochenko and Pavel Klimov, who provided the Ukraine-based footage, and Raul Gallego Abellan whose climate-based story was recognized for the award.
Overall the organization gives awards in four categories. All the finalists will be honoured at the ceremony on November 16, with four overall winners from each category.
