Modi regime continues its moves to erase Muslim identity of important places
New Delhi, October 05 (KMS): Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government continues with its moves to erase the Muslim identity of importance places in the country.
In the latest move, Indian Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, has approved renaming the Faizabad Cantt in the Faizabad district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh as Ayodhya Cantonment. The development came ahead of Hindu festival Dussehra to be observed, today (Wednesday, October 05) to please the Hindus.
The Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government has launched a campaign to rename all the Important Muslim cities and religious and cultural places after the Hindu names to erase all signs and symbols of Muslim glory.
Uttar Pradesh’s BJP government following the Indian government’s nod had announced the renaming of Faizabad railway junction as Ayodhya Cantt on October 2021. Earlier, the state government had changed the name of Faizabad district to Ayodhya in November 2018. The BJP-led state government had changed the name of Allahabad to Prayagraj in October, the same year.
Before that in June 2018, one of the busiest junctions of Indian Railways, Mughalsarai railway station, was renamed after the leader of extremist Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
