Anti-India rally in Muzaffarabad over Amit Shah’s visit to IIOJK

 Muzaffarabad, October 05 (KMS): A big rally was held in Muzaffarabad, today, to protest against the Indian Home Minister, Amit Shah’s visit to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of people including women and children attended the rally taken out under the auspices of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir from Lalchowk Upper Ada to Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk on the main highway. The protesters were holding black flags and wearing black armbands to register protest against Amit Shah’s visit to IIOJK. They chanted high-pitched slogans against India and in favour of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian illegal occupation.

The protestors were carrying banners and placards with slogans against Amit Shah and the government of India. They chanted “Go India go back”, “Go Amit Shah go back”, “Killer killer – Modi killer”, “Killer killer – Amit Shah killer” slogans.

The rally was attended among others by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Vice Chairman International Forum for Justice Mushtaqul Islam, Hurriyat leader Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Shaukat Javed, Usman Ali Hashim, Mehnaz Qureshi, Javaid Ahmed Mughal and Kashmiri refugee leaders, Chaudhry Muhammad Mushtaq, Iqbal Yasin Awan, Bilal Ahmed Farooqui, Syed Hamza Shaheen, social leader Dr Muhammad Manzoor and Tanzeer Iqbal.

Addressing the protesters, the speakers said India should know that its brutal measures cannot intimidate the Kashmiri people into submission. They appealed to the UN to take steps for holding a plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir as per its resolutions to enable the Kashmiris decide their fate by themselves.

The protesters also burnt the effigy of Amit Shah.
