BJP stands exposed, using backdoor tactics to establish hegemony in IIOJK: Farooq Abdullah
Jammu, September 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has assailed the Narendra Modi led India’s Hindutva government for wielding delimitation as a weapon to establish its hegemony in the territory.
Farooq Abdullah addressing a party convention at Batote in Ramban district said the geographical argument put forth by the New Delhi-constituted Delimitation Commission for IIOJK in carving out new constituencies was just a smokescreen and the real aim was to benefit the fascist BJP government.
Farooq Abdullah said BJP stands exposed for its duplicity, deception and self-centered agenda, which has taken a heavy toll on the people’s lives. He added, “All their acts are guided by brazen biases and short sighted politics. None of their acts are aimed at solving people’s issues”.
“Having diminished their deposit with the people, BJP is now trying to conquer the region through back doors by gerrymandering constituencies and bringing outside voters. All they want is to capture the power,” he said.
The NC leader pointed out that the BJP’s manoeuvres in the occupied territory have left people in lurch, saying nothing is going to bail them out as the people have made a point to punish them through their votes. He exhorted the people, particularly youth, to stop BJP from achieving its nefarious designs that aim to disempower locals including Kashmiris, Gujjars, Dogras, Paharis and other communities.
