IIOJK’s indigenous, secular mode of resistance upsets fascist India

Srinagar, August 14 (KMS): People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a resistance group fighting for the UN-acknowledged right to self-determination for all Kashmiri people regardless of religion and creed, has warned India of going to any extent to stop New Delhi from conducting G20 meet in the internationally disputed territory of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The PAFF in an online video message said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir hailing from all the religious communities are one to defy the India’s illegal occupation of their motherland.

Commenting on the PAFF video statement, analysts believe that indigenous as well as secular mode of resistance in IIOJK is a matter of real concern for fascist India under Modi.

Russian actress Ulyana Vascovich in a twitter message welcomed the PAFF video statement.

She said, “Such a positive development! Kashmiris are eventually out of religion extremism and formed a secular group (PAFF) to fight for the Kashmir cause and Kashmiri nationalism.”

The Ulyana’s tweet contradicts India’s claim on Kashmir and its speaks of the indigenized nature of the Kashmir conflict.

In the near past too, the-then UNHRC chief Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein has also called for an “independent, impartial and international mission” into reports “claiming the Indian authorities had used force excessively against the civilian population under its administration”. The demand by the UNHRC chief also belies the India’s ‘internal issue’ stance on Kashmir.

Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, funded by the Indian Ministry of Defence , in a study on groups like PAFF, which was released on July 4, 2022 has reported,”… whether it is TRF or the PAFF, the emphasis is on ‘Kashmiri resistance’ against ‘occupational’ and ‘fascist’ forces, as opposed to a call for jihad against infidels.”
