Srinagar, August 12 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Hurriyat activist, Master Sheikh Ghulam Mohiuddin of Nai Basti, Islamabad, who passed away, yesterday.
The DFP in a statement issued in Srinagar, while highlighting Master Sheikh Ghulam Mohiuddin’s contribution in the ongoing freedom struggle, said that he was a close aide of veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and a member of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. The deceased leader, it said, was also a member of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Lauding his family’s contribution in the freedom struggle, the DFP said Sheikh Ghulam Mohiuddin was a staunch freedom fighter and a strong supporter of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. It said Sheikh’s family has suffered a lot at the hands of Indian agencies and renegades for its affiliation with the freedom movement.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement in Islamabad expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
APHC AJK leader, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, also expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Master Sheikh Ghulam Mohiuddin.
