Indian police face resistance during Kathua operation, one held

Jammu, August 07 (KMS): Indian police on Sunday arrested one person during a search operation in Maggar Khad village of Kathua district.

The man was arrested by a police party during an early morning search operation in the Maggar Khad area in the jurisdiction of PS Lakhanpur ahead of the forthcoming Independence Day of India.

The police statement claimed that during the search, the police party was attacked with lathis, and was pelted with stones by the locals.

The police arrested one person namely Mohammad Sharif during the operation.
