Indian police claim arresting one youth in Srinagar

Srinagar, August 07 (KMS): Indian Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested an overground worker of a mujahid organization at Lawaypora area of Srinagar district.

Police on its official twitter handle wrote that on specific information, a militant named Arshad Ahmad Butt was arrested by a joint team of Srinagar police and Indian army at Lawaypura.

A case registered at Shalteng Police station.

It is worth mentioning here that over the past few years, Indian police has become habitual of branding innocent Kashmiri as supporters of militant organizations to justify their arrest.

Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Saturday a Muslim youth from Batla House in New Delhi. The agency said that Mohsin Ahmed, a permanent resident of Patna is an active member of the so-called Islamic State (IS).

Ahmed was arrested after searches conducted at his premises and elsewhere Saturday in a case pertaining to “online and on-ground activities of the ISIS” registered by the NIA on June 25, officials said.
