Modi’s dirty settler plan in IIOJK could imperil peace in South Asia: Speakers

Islamabad, August 03 (KMS): Speakers at a webinar welcomed Pakistan’s decision to observe this Friday as Youm-e-Istehsaal-e-Kashmir as a mark of protest against unilateral actions taken by Modi-ruled New Delhi in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on 5th August 2019.

The event was organized by pro-Kashmir groups and was addressed by prominent personalities hailing from across the Line of Control and Pakistan.

The speakers on the occasion denounced the India’s dirty game of demography change in IIOJK and warned that the Modi’s settler plan, if not checked, could imperil peace in South Asia.

They maintained that the observance of the day is to convey the message to the world that the Kashmiris reject fascist Indian government’s illegal move of August 05, 2019 and will take their ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion, against all odds. They termed the abrogation of special status of Jammu and Kashmir as a slap on the United Nations, which has passed number of resolutions declaring Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory.

Prominent among those who addressed the webinar include Abdul Rasheed Turabi, Ambassador Dr Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, Ambassador Najamus Saqib, Mukhtar Ahmed Baba, Advocate Nabila Irshad, Raja Muhammad Sajjad Khan and Bilal Shakeel.
