Holding placards while raising slogans in favour of their demands, the protesters said, “We have been here for around three weeks but still the government is not paying heed to our demands. This is a matter of our livelihood and we won’t budge until the selection list is released.” Pertinently, IIOJK Services Selection Board advertised over 900 posts of FAA in the territory.

In Jammu, hundreds of daily wagers of the Jal Shakti [Water] Department staged a protest and blocked a highway in the Jammu city seeking regularisation of services. Raising slogans against the IIOJK administration, the protesting workers threatened to intensify their protest if their demand was not met.

The IIOJK unit of Congress lashed out at New Delhi and the occupied territory’s administration for failure to address daily wagers issues.
