Modi wants to change IIOJK’s demography: Mufti Muneeb

Muzaffarabad, July 25 (KMS): Former Ruet-i-Hilal committee chairman and President of Pakistan Tanzeem-ul-Madaris Ahle Sunnah Mufti Muneeb-ur- Rehman has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to change the demography of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by repealing its status in August 2019.

Mufti Muneeb-ur- Rehman addressing a news conference in Muzaffarabad said just passing resolutions will not settle the Kashmir dispute but practical and solid steps should be taken for its permanent settlement. The Kashmir dispute needs to be kept alive with full sincerity, he added.

Mufti Muneeb said that anti-Islam forces were taking advantage of the religious and political differences between Muslims. He deplored that atrocities were being inflicted on Muslims as well as Christians in India.

He said this year he will go to Britain and will invite the scholars and journalists to form a mission to visit Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to find out the facts. “We do not accept any hope at the cost of Kashmir, the issue of Kashmir will survive because it is the Qibla of our peace,” he added.
