Islamabad, July 23 (KMS): A delegation of Hurriyat leaders led by the Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, today, visited the hunger strike camp of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front set up in front of National Press Club, Islamabad.
The hunger strike camp was organised to express solidarity with Kashmiri Hurriyat leader and JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, who has started his hunger strike on Friday morning in Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail against the denial of justice and fair trial to him by the Indian kangaroo courts.
The Hurriyat delegation included Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, former director of Kashmir Liberation Cell, Arshad Mehmood and others and expressed solidarity with Muhammad Yasin Malik.
The members of the delegation also assured the JKLF leaders that they are standing by Muhammad Yasin Malik’s side in exposing Indian atrocities and will campaign for his immediate release. They said that no effort would be spared to mobilize international forums for the release of Kashmiri leaders, including Muhammad Yasin Malik.
The Hurriyat leaders appealed to Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Azad Kashmir leader, Saleem Haroon and other activists to end the hunger strike camp, after which Muhammad Yasin Malik’s daughter, Raziyah Sultana ended their hunger strike by presenting water to them.
The Hurriyat leaders reiterated their determination to raise their voice for the release of Yasin Malik and other illegally detained Kashmiri leaders and youth.
