Flood washes away two persons in Rajouri

Jammu, July 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, at least two persons were killed and several structures and vehicles damaged by landslides and cloudburst in Rajouri and Doda districts.

A massive flash flood was witnessed in the nallahs due to heavy rain in the upper reaches of Darhal and Thannamandi in Rajouri district.

A driver and helper, JCB machine and a tipper parked near a stone crusher were washed away in the flood along at Aitti Bhalla of the district.

Meanwhile, a cloudburst triggered flash floods in Thathri town of Doda district and damaged several structures and vehicles.

Most of the people were sleeping at that time and it was raining heavily with thunderstorms. Then suddenly amidst thundering sounds, cloudburst took place and it resulted in massive flash flood, which caused damage to the main Batote-Kishtwar highway and adjoining lanes in the town.
