Yatris’ movement restricted after 6 pm to enable Indian Army’s convoys to move

Srinagar, July 4 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in a significant development, the authorities have restricted the movement of Hindu pilgrims and tourists after 6pm in view of the movement of Indian Army’s convoys.

The advisory for the Hindu yatris have been issued by the Kashmir traffic police, which stated that only Indian army conveys would be allowed all-time movement.

The timing on Mughal Road has also been increased from 7 am to 4 pm, subject to the daily assessment by traffic authorities.

Trucks with more than 10 tyres shall ply via Jammu-Srinagar highway and the vehicles loaded with fresh perishable items should reach Jakheni Naka/Qazigund Naka before 2pm. These trucks shall be parked separately and shall be given preference when the traffic is released, it said.

Five pilgrims have died since the commencement of the Amarnath Yatra this year, even as around 50,000 Hindu Amernath pilgrims have so far visited the Amernath Cave in Pahalgam, officials said.
