Modi govt using state institutions as weapons against opposition: Yashwant Sinha

Bangalore, July 04 (KMS): The joint candidate of the opposition parties for the presidential election in India, Yashwant Sinha, has said that Modi’s fascist Indian government is using Indian investigative agencies like the Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Election Commission as well as state governors as a weapon against the opposition.

Yashwant Sinha, a former minister and former leader of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), told a meeting of the Congress Legislative Party in Bangalore that the BJP government had attacked the country’s democratic and secular identity over the past eight years. He said that the Modi government carried out poisonous sectarian propaganda to divide the multi-religious society of the country.

Yashwant Sinha reiterated that the Modi government had no respect for the federal structure of the Constitution and had used the state institutions as weapons against opposition.
