Kashmir dispute pertains to freedom of millions of Kashmiris: APHC-AJK

Islamabad, July 04 (KMS): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said the Kashmir dispute is not an issue of power politics but it is an issue of freedom of millions of Kashmiris from India’s illegal occupation.

APHC-AJK General Secretary Sheikh Abdul Matin in a statement issued in Islamabad today, condemned the genocide of Kashmiris by Indian troops, illegal arrests and destruction of houses and properties.

He said that Kashmiri people were making great sacrifices for their birthright, right to self-determination and would continue their struggle till the goal was achieved. He strongly condemned the worst military siege imposed by the fascist Indian government in IIOJK since August 5, 2019 to fulfill the nefarious intentions to change the Muslim majority character of the territory.

He hailed the determination of the Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth illegally detained in Indian jails.

APHC-AJK leader called for the release of APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Naeem Ahmad Khan, Pir Saifullah, Nahida Nasreen, Merajuddin Kalwal, Ayaz Akbar and others.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter leader, Syed Yusuf Naseem in a statement said that shifting of over 50 Kashmiri prisoners from Kashmir to Indian jails was an act of abduction as Kashmiris are not Indian citizens under the United Nations Security Council relevant resolutions.

He said India is committing heinous anti-human crimes by abducting Kashmiri citizens to India for torturing them to death and appealed to UN Secretary General to take urgent action against India

Syed Naseem also urged the government of Pakistan to lodge a case against India and asked the Kashmiris to launch protests against India against the abduction of the Kashmiri detainees.
