Police constable commits suicide in New Delhi
New Delhi, June 26 (KMS): A police constable posted at the Auxiliary Training Unit in New Delhi has committed suicide.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Jay Mill Singh.
New Delhi Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Hemant Tiwari said that the preliminary investigation revealed that the constable was undergoing treatment at the hospital for mental stress. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, the police officer added.
It is worth mentioning here that there is a rising suicide trend among Indian forces as in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir alone, around 750 Indian soldiers, policemen and paramilitary troopers have committed suicide since January 2007.
