Naseeruddin Shah urges Modi to stop ‘poison of hatred’ The Kashmir Files from spreading

New Delhi, June 09 (KMS): Prominent Indian film and stage actor, Naseeruddin Shah, has criticised The Kashmir Files movie, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, by calling it an “almost fictionalised version” of the suffering of the Kashmiri Hindus.

Naseeruddin Shah in a media interview in New Delhi deplored that the Modi government is promoting the film instead of ensuring security and rehabilitation for the community.

“You talk about genocide and you get a slap on the wrist. There are double standards working here,” he said.

In the NDTV interview, Shah appealed to Prime Minister Modi to step in and stop the ‘poison of hatred’ from spreading. His statements come at a time when several Muslim nations raised the issue of the objectionable comments made by BJP leaders on Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Naseeruddin Shah also demanded stern action against BJP leaders, Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal for their derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
