Instead of punishment, BJP leader gets security after derogatory remarks against Holy Prophet (PBUH)

New Delhi, June 07 (KMS): In an unfortunate development, India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) instead of punishing its communal leader, Nupur Sharma, for her derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad Khatam-un-Nabiyeen (peace be upon him), has given her security, rubbing salt to the wounds of Muslims across the world.

Nupur Sharma, the BJP leader suspended amid outrage over her comments on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), has been given security after she complained to the Delhi Police about so-called death threats.

The police registered a case after Nupur Sharma said in a complaint that she is receiving death threats.

Nupur Sharma was suspended by the BJP over her comments on the Prophet (PBUH) during a TV debate which have drawn furious reactions and official protests from several Muslim countries including Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, Jordan, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Maldives, Libya and Indonesia.

Pakistan and several Gulf nations summoned Indian diplomats and expressed condemnation over anti-Islamic statements by BJP spokespersons, Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal.
