India begins systemic depletion of natural resources in IIOJK: Speakers

Rawalakot (AJK), May 27 (KMS): Speakers at a conference in Rawalakot have said that August 5, 2019 action is like Indian aggression in 1947 that changed the internationally recognized status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The conference “Hamara Kashmir Hamara Pakistan” at the Poonch University in Rawalakot was organised by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).

All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir leader Altaf Ahmed Butt addressing on the occasion said that India had begun the process of systematic depletion of all natural resources in IIOJK. He added that India had renamed all the radio stations of Jammu and Kashmir after All India Radio and the July 13, which was Martyrs’ Day, has also been removed from the official calendar of IIOJK.

He said the governments and educational institutions in all provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan should play their role in promoting the narrative of Pakistaniat. “If we do not stand up today against the tactics adopted by India to silence Yasin Malik then it will eliminate all pro-freedom leaders one by one in IIOJK,” he added.

Former prime minister of AJK Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan deplored that many illegal steps have been taken by the Indian government in internationally-recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Major General (Retd) Saad Khattak in his address said that his training in Azad Kashmir Regiment was under Kashmiri military officers. He said the soldiers of Pakistan Army have rendered unprecedented sacrifices for Kashmir.

President of Kashmir Youth Alliance Dr Mujahid Gilani on the occasion said Pakistaniat is very strong in IIOJK and it is evident from the fact that the Kashmiri Muslims in Srinagar and other parts of the territory raise Pakistan Zindabad slogans in front of Indian soldiers.
