Quran Khwani held in Srinagar for Kashmiri martyrs

Srinagar, May 20 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Quran Khwani was held at Mirwaiz Manzil Rajouri Kadal in Srinagar in connection with the martyrdom anniversaries of prominent Kashmiri leaders, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, and the martyrs of Hawal.

A large number of people and students as well as Hurriyat leaders and scholars participated in the Quran Khwani organized by Awami Action Committee and Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar.

On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the high ranks of Shaheed Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and other martyrs of Kashmir besides early liberation of occupied Kashmir from Indian subjugation.

This ceremony was held after three years as the Modi-led fascist Indian government in August 2019 repealed Kashmir’s special status and imposed military siege in the territory.

Quran recitation and Naat competition was also held in which the best Qaries and Naat khwans were awarded with prizes.

Leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Masroor Abbas Ansari, Agha Mujtaba Hassan Al-Moosvi, Awami Action Committee leaders Syed Rehman Shams, Mufti Ghulam Rasool and Ghulam Qadir Baig also attended the function.
