Families fear for safety of Kashmiri detainees in Indian jails

Srinagar, May 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, families of illegally detained Kashmiris have raised concern about the safety of the detainees as the Indian police are not producing them in courts on their dates of hearing.

The families of hundred of detainees say that political prisoners remain under illegal detention for months, years and decades in jails despite the fact that Indian police have failed to provide any proof against them.

The families urged human rights organizations to come forward and take notice of the lawless situation of Kashmir and plight of the detainees languishing in different Indian jails.
