BJP’s central, state govts continue to change names of Muslim-attributed areas to Hindu names
New Delhi, April 28 (KMS): In India, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s central and state governments continue to change the names of Muslim-attributed areas to Hindu names.
The Delhi chapter of the ruling BJP in India has announced to rename the village of South Delhi, Muhammadpur as Madhopuram. The BJP Delhi chief Adish Gupta, along with senior party leaders, erected a ‘Welcome to Madhopuram’ sign at the village entrance.
He tweeted this picture while writing: “Muhammadpur has been renamed as Madhopuram by the Municipal Corporation. He further wrote that from now on these villages would be called Madhopuram instead of Muhammadpur.
He slammed the Muslims, saying that the people of Delhi did not want any sign of slavery to be a part of the city even after 75 years of independence. However, the Aam Aadmi Party government in New Delhi has not yet accepted the Corporation’s proposal and the Aam Aadmi Party government has not yet reacted to the BJP’s move.
