Nine killed, four injured in Poonch road accident
Jammu, March 31 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, at least nine persons died and four others sustained injuries, today, in a road accident in Poonch district of Jammu region.
The accident occurred when a vehicle fell into a 300-ft deep gorge at Tararawali Bufliaz in Surankote area of the district.
A police official said that the driver of the vehicle moving from Morah village toward Surankote, lost control and the vehicle fell into the gorge. The victims were returning home after attending a wedding at Morah.
The official said that six persons died on the spot while three other succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.
The deceased persons were identified as Ghulam Rabani, Mohammad Fazal, Mohammad Mushtaq, Fazal Ahmed, Gulab Din, Mohammad Jahangir, Mohammad Akbar, Abid Kohli, Showkat Hussain. The injured including driver of the vehicle, Zaheer Abass, Haroon and Mohammad Zabir were referred from sub-divisional hospital Surankote to government medical college Rajouri.
