New Delhi, March 29 (KMS): Indian Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai has confirmed that as many as 34 outsiders have bought properties in Jammu and Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in August 2019.
The Article 370 and 35A, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and also barred outsiders to acquire properties, were abrogated on August 5, 2019 by the Modi government in India in violation of international laws.
“As per the information provided by the Jammu and Kashmir administration, 34 people from outside (non-Kashmiris) of Jammu and Kashmir have bought properties in the Kashmir valley and Jammu region after abrogation of Article 370,” Nityanand Rai informed Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
