If Kashmir Files can be made on Kashmir, why not on Lakhimpur massacre, asks Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh, India), March 17 (KMS): Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party President, Akhilesh Yadav, has said that if a propaganda film, The Kashmir Files, can be made on Kashmir, then why Lakhimpur Files cannot be made on the Lakhimpur massacre in Uttar Pradesh where a vehicle of Indian minister ran over a group of protesting farmers in October, last year.

Akhilesh Yadav said this while speaking to reporters in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, for the first time after the party’s defeat in the recently concluded assembly elections in the state.

On October 3, last year, violence erupted in Lakhimpur after a sports utility vehicle of an Indian minister ran over farmers who were protesting against Modi government’s three controversial farm laws. Four farmers and a journalist were killed and several others were injured.
