95% Govt schools in IIOJK have no internet connectivity

Jammu, March 16 (KMS): Nearly 95% government schools in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have no internet connectivity.

In reply to a query in Lok Sabha, Indian education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, stated that in Jammu and Kashmir 5.18% government run schools have internet connectivity.

While dishing out the figures, the minister revealed that there are many states and union territories across India where more than 10% government schools don’t have internet connectivity.

An analyst while talking to Jammu-based English daily Early Times said, “During the Covid-19 pandemic the Education Department made tall claims about providing online education to the children in rural areas. But one wonders if there was no internet connectivity how come the online education was provided.”
