India’s NIA arrests IPS officer for leaking secret documents

New Delhi, February 18 (KMS): India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday arrested its former Superintendent of Police (SP) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Arvind Digvijay Negi for leaking secret documents.

The NIA spokesperson in a statement said that Negi was arrested in connection with a case registered by the agency on November 06 last year.

The spokesperson said that A D Negi’s houses were searched, adding that it was found that official secret documents of the NIA were leaked by the IPS officer.

The NIA had earlier arrested six people in the case. KMS—18M
