Video: ‘If ‘Upper’ Caste People Lived Here, There Would Be Development’

Siroli (Agra, India), February 03 (KMS): In this ground report ahead of the elections in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, the situation from Siroli village in Agra is awful where villagers believed that they are being discriminated against just for being Dalits.

A number of protesters said that if upper caste people had been living in the area then there could have been development.

Here, citizens have been sitting on a dharna for the last 100 days, asking for the removal of water accumulating on the road. A woman has also died in this dharna, but the administration has not taken note of it.

Villagers firmly believe that they are being discriminated against because they are Dalits.
