Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said that Kashmiri nation is not ready to compromise on their right to self determination.

On the Indian republic day, we simply want to convey a message to Indian government that there is no point in glorifying the democracy if people are living in miseries under the might of the gun.

Ali Raza Syed talked about three noted Kashmiri figures who are in the jailed for raising issue of human rights of the innocent Kashmiris. They are famous human rights activist Khurram Parvez, another human rights defender Ahsan Untoo and Journalist Sajjad Gul. Besides, Chair of KC-EU also raised the killing of Kashmiris in fake encounters and said, martyrdom of Zia Mustafa who was in prison since 2003 and killed in an encounter last month, can be an example of brutal state terrorism. He also mentioned arrests of youth without any reasons and said, a student namely Asif Shabbir Naik was arrested during his vocations in occupied Kashmir last year and he is still in the prison.

Ali Raza Syed demanded early release of the all Kashmiri prisoners. He also called the International community to intervene to stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and play its role for just resolution of Kashmir issue.

The protesters said, India is the so-called “biggest” democracy of the world because New Delhi is ruthlessly suppressing the democratic rights of Kashmiris and continuously killing the innocent Kashmiri people as well.

If democracy is all about justice, then we must say that our fellow Kashmiris are not getting the justice even after seven decades.

They called the Indian government to stop violations of human rights in occupied Kashmir and fulfil its promise to give right to self determination to the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir.
