India tightens restrictions for enforced Republic Day celebrations in IIOJK

Srinagar, January 24 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops, paramilitary and police personnel are keeping an eye on all roads, routes and highways to make the India’s enforced Republic Day celebrations sail through as Kashmiris observe 26 January as Black Day in the territory.

Indian authorities and intelligence agencies have directed officers to lay joint nakas and ensure frisking on all roads and areas and intensify night patrolling on the highways.

The authorities reviewed the security arrangement in and around Srinagar and Jammu areas where the Indian Republic Day celebrations will take place on January 26.

The Indian troops, Central Reserve Police Force and police personnel have tightened checks in all towns ahead of the event.

Identity checks of vehicles are conducted randomly in all parts of Srinagar and other towns of Kashmir valley and Jammu region.

The troops also blocked access to the main business centre of Srinagar with razor wire.
