APHC condemns extrajudicial killing of youth by troops in IIOJK

Srinagar, January 12 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the fresh spell of extrajudicial killings by Indian troops across the territory.

The APHC General Secretary, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, in a statement issued in Srinagar said India is violating all human values, international laws and its commitments to the world community and behaving as an imperialist power and a terrorist state in the garb of the so-called largest democracy of the world.

He said that India has converted IIOJK into a military garrison where innocent people are living a hellish life under the shadow of war. He condemned the ongoing human rights abuses, including mass killings, custodial disappearances, arbitrary arrests, torture and molestation of women by Indian troops to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle.

The APHC General Secretary castigated the occupation authorities for arresting the journalist Sajad Gul and registering fictitious cases against London-based Kashmiri leader, Muzamil Ayoub Thokur. He said such cheap tactics cannot intimidate the Kashmiri people into submission and they will continue their struggle till complete success.

Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani urged the United Nations Human Rights Council and other human rights organizations including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and International Committee of Red Cross to take cognizance of the Indian state terrorism in IIOJK. He called for early settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions for global peace.
