Indian BSF man’s body recovered from river

West Bengal, January 10 (KMS): The body of an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) man has been recovered from a river in Malda district of West Bengal.

The body of the BSF man has been recovered from a river near Jaffarpur area of the district, identified as Constable Vivek Kumar Tiwari of BSS 159 Battalion, who was stationed on the border with Bangladesh.

The BSF man was part of a patrol team near the Bangladesh border last night and his body has been sent to Malda Medical College for postmortem.

No statement, so far, has been issued by the BSF or the police about the incident.
