Pakistan to continue supporting Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination: Munir

Islamabad, January 05 (KMS): Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, has said that Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and support to the people of Kashmir till realization of their right to self-determination in accordance with the UN resolutions.

In his message on the occasion of the Kashmiris’ Right to Self-Determination Day, today, he said the United Nations, especially the Security Council, has an abiding responsibility to deliver its promise made with the people of Kashmir seventy three years ago.

The ambassador said, on this day in 1949, the UN Commission for India and Pakistan adopted the historic resolution, calling for a free and impartial plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.

Munir Akram said extremist Hindutva regime of India has deployed over nine hundred thousand troops in IIOJK who are responsible for unleashing a brutal reign of terror in the occupied territory.
