Pasban-e-Hurriyat to hold anti-India rallies on Right to Self-Determination Day

Muzaffarabad, December 28 (KMS): The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali has said that 5th January has significant importance in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.

On 5th January in 1949, the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution supporting the Kashmiris’ right to decide their future by themselves through UN-sponsored plebiscite.

Talking to media persons in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali maintained that on 5th January 2022, “we will conduct rallies and protest processions to seek attention on this longest pending dispute at UN.” He said that the rallies would be held in Muzaffarabad, Jhelum Valley, Neelum and other districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

“People on both sides of the Line of Control will protest against India’s illegal military occupation, killing of youth, burning of residential houses and arrests of unarmed civilians,” Ghazali added.
