Arrest of DPM chief organizer by Indian troops condemned

Srinagar, December 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement Khawaja Firdous has expressed grave concern over the arrest of party chief organizer Shakeel Ahmed Butt by Indian troops and his shifting to an unknown location.

Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the occupation authorities had also illegally arrested party General Secretary Pir Hilal Ahmed under black law Public Safety Act and kept him in Kotbhalwal Jail, Jammu.

He said Shakeel Ahmed Butt has dedicated his entire life for freedom movement and spent most of his life in jails.

The APHC leader said that India could not stop the Kashmiris from pursuing their struggle for freedom through arrests, torture and massacre. He said that the Kashmiri people were determined to bring the freedom movement to its logical conclusion, against all odds.

The Hurriyat leader urged the international community to play its important role in finding just solution to the Kashmir dispute.
