Srinagar, December 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) held a protest demonstration at the Press Enclave in Srinagar, demanding regularisation of daily wagers, ad hoc and temporary employees working in different departments for the last two decades.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the protesters were led by it’s the EJAC President, Mohammad Rafique Rather and General Secretary, Sajad Parray. Scores of EJAC activists, holding placards in their hands with slogans in favour of regularisation of daily wagers, ad hoc and temporary employees, raised slogans in favour of their demands.

Speaking to the press, the EJAC President, Mohammad Rafique Rather said, regularisation of ad hoc and daily wagers is a human issue, which the authorities need to address on priority. He said regularisation of big chunk of such employees is a genuine and legitimate issue but it is strange that nothing in this regard has been done so for.
