UPA demands immediate ban on Jay Cee Publication

Jammu, December 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the United Peace Alliance (UPA), an association of several Jammu-based resistance organizations, has strongly condemned the Delhi-based Jay Cee Publication for committing highly blasphemous act in the seventh standard book.

While registering a symbolic protest, the United Peace Alliance leaders demanded immediate cancellation of the registration of the Jay Cee Publication for hurting the sentiments of the millions of Muslims across the world by publishing blasphemous pictorial graphics in the school book.

Mir Shahid Saleem, Chairman of the United Peace Alliance, said it is highly provocative on the part Jay Cee Publications to depict the Prophet Muhammad and Hazrat Jibreel through caricatures. He said it seems to be a deliberate attempt to hurt the sentiments of the Muslims and spread communal hatred.

He said these sort of conspiracies must been seen in the light of elections in Uttar Pradesh, where BJP seems to loosing the elections. He demanded that all text books of history and civics for the seventh standards which have been distributed in Srinagar and other Educational Zones must be confiscated and destroyed.

The chairman of the United Sikh Council, Harsis Singh Kranti wondered how these people are given a free hand by the law enforcing agencies. He said this was possible only because some sections in the corridors of power are backing these elements.

Others, who spoke on the occasion included Sukhdev Singh, Israr Qazi, Ameer-ud-Din Kassana and Nazir Ahmed Malik.
