APHC denounces India’s military approach to tackle Kashmir dispute
Srinagar, December 06 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference while denouncing India’s military approach to tackle the Kashmir dispute has said that Kashmir is purely a political issue, which needs to be resolved through right to self-determination guaranteed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The APHC Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar hailed the steadfastness and invincible determination of the brave people of Jammu and Kashmir and said that the precious sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiris for their inalienable right has created a magnificent history in the list of contemporary revolutionary movements of the modern world.
“A small population, besieged by more than one million occupation forces of India shielded by draconian laws and a free license to kill with impunity, is a grave matter which demands urgent attention and necessary legal action in the light of United Nations Security Council resolutions on Kashmir,” he added.
The Hurriyat leader urged the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres to take serious cognizance of the critical situation prevailing in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
Meanwhile, in a condolence message, GA Gulzar expressed his deep condolences with the aggrieved family of Engineer Farooq Ahmad Khan who breathed his last in Sopore, this morning. He said Farooq, a young and dynamic leader, rendered precious sacrifices for the freedom movement of Kashmir. He spent over a decade in illegal incarceration in the most notorious Tihar jail of India and other jails.
The APHC paying while rich tributes to Farooq Khan pledged to fulfill his dream of leading the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion, come what may, he added.
