New Delhi, December 5 (KMS): The Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Shashi Tharoor has said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is fundamentally anti-national, which targets a particular minority [Muslisms].
Shashi Tharoor while speaking to media in New Delhi said, any law that is seen targeting any community is fundamentally anti-national.
He further said that the law will “needlessly” divide the country and urged the Modi government not to “recklessly endanger” the social harmony of the country.
On the other hand, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP, Dola Sen stated that the New Delhi will have to repeal CAA just like farm laws.
“A minister in a written reply in the Parliament said that National Register of Citizens (NRC) will not be implemented throughout India. They have (Indian government) repealed the three farm laws. We believe they will have to repeal the NRC. The ball is in their court now,” the TMC MP told media.
