Sit-in in Muzaffarabad against killing of IIOJK youth by Indian forces

Muzaffarabad, November 19 (KMS): A sit-in protest was organized under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad, today, against the killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the anti-India sit-in was attended by a large number of people, including leaders of various political and religious parties. The participants chanted slogans against Indian atrocities on the Kashmiris. They were also carrying banners and placards with slogans against fake encounters and human rights violations in IIOJK.

Speakers on the occasion said that India’s ruthless troops were killing innocent Kashmiris in fake encounters. They maintained that the martyrdom of Dr Mudassir Gul, Mohammad Altaf Butt, Amir Ahmad Magray and other unarmed youths must be a matter of concern for the international human rights organizations.

The world is watching that India has turned the territory into a killing field, the speakers said. They said the Indian government has completely usurped the liberties of the people who have been deprived of their political, religious and social rights in IIOJK.

In these circumstances, the United Nations Security Council, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and peace and justice-loving nations and institutions of the world must come forward and take notice of the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory.

The speakers demanded of the international human rights organizations to play an effective role in restoring the basic rights and freedoms in IIOJK.

The sit-in was attended among others by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, PPP leader, Shaukat Javed Mir, Vice Chairman of International Forum for Justice, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Ateeq-ur-Rehman Danish, All Pakistan Muslim League leader, Javed Ahmad Mughal, Usman Ali Hashim, Dr Muhammad Manzoor and Syed Hamza Shaheen.
