Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, and other party leaders.
They were arrested by the police from their houses in Islamabad district to prevent them from leading protest demonstrations against killing of civilians in the territory. Besides Mukhtar Waza, the other party leaders who were arrested include Engineer Fayaz, Riyaz Ahmed, Rafiq Ahmed and Sameer Ahmed.
Meanwhile, the JKPL spokesman in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the arrest of party chairman, other leaders and hundreds of youth. He said the arrest spree is a sheer political vengeance.
