IIOJK authorities denounced for again disallowing Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, has condemned the authorities for once again disallowing people to offer Juma prayers at the historic mosque.

The Anjuman Auqaf in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the Anjuman and the Muslims of Kashmir are unable to understand that why Jamia Masjid Srinagar continues to be selectively banned and restricted from holding Friday prayers, which is extremely unfortunate and incomprehensible.

“It is extremely unfortunate and disdainful of the authorities to disallow Muslims of the Valley from praying at the central mosque by use of brute force and cause then hurt and grief. Muslims of the Valley denounce this injustice and interference in religious freedom in strongest terms,” the statement said.
