Hurriyat forum demands return of body of another martyred civilian to his family

Srinagar, November 19 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged the authorities to return the body of Amir Ahmad Magray, a resident of Gool area of Ramban district of Jammu, who was also martyred in Hyderpora fake encounter.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar called upon the authorities to desist from the criminal practice of ceasing bodies of the martyred Kashmiris and denying their families the right to a proper burial, which is abhorrently inhuman.

It also reiterated its call for resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspiration of the Kashmiri people and termed it as the only way to ensure permanent peace in the region.

It urged the people to continue to speak against injustices and violence in IIOJK. Despite arrests, house detentions and severe curbs on leadership and political activists, the resistance leaders stand firmly with the people and the political struggle, it added.

The forum also deplored the continued censorship of its statements and campaigns in the local media.

The forum also extended greetings to the Sikh brethren on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary.
