‘Under House Arrest’, Mehbooba says 2 PDP leaders arrested

Srinagar, November 18 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, has said that the authorities have placed her under house arrest while party leader, Najmu Saqib and Suhail Bukhari, have been arrested.

Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet said, she has again been put under house arrest and PDP leaders, Saqib and Suhail Bukhari too have been arrested.

She said the pattern of using innocent civilians as human shields and then denying their families the right to a decent burial shows that the Government of India (GOI) has plumbed new depths of inhumanity. “Their narrative right from the start was based on lies to escape accountability. They don’t want to be held accountable for their actions and that’s why they are muzzling voices that speak up against such injustice,” she said.

Yesterday, Mehbooba Mufti was stopped from joining the families of civilians martyred in Hyderpora area of Srinagar who were protesting at Press Colony for return of the bodies of their dear ones.
