Bodies of two martyred civilians exhumed, to be handed over to families

Srinagar, November 18 (KMS): In view of the mounting pressure from across political and social spectrum in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian authorities on Thursday evening exhumed bodies of two of the four martyred civilians Mohammad Altaf Butt and Dr Mudassir Gul—from a graveyard at Wadder Zachaldara in Handwara area of Kupwara district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mohammad Altaf Butt and Dr Mudassir Gul were buried along with two other civilians killed by the Indian troops in a fake encounter in Hyderpora area of Srinagar on Monday.

Indian media reported that the bodies were exhumed under the supervision of Tehsildar Handwara in presence a team of doctors. They said the bodies would be sent to Srinagar where they would be handed over to their families.

As per media reports, the families have been asked to limit the funerals to only a few people. Also restrictions have been imposed in the area.
