Srinagar, November 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, 152 COVID positive cases were recorded in the territory.
135 cases were registered in Kashmir valley, 16 were reported in Jammu region and one in Ladakh region.
Those who tested positive include 79 from Srinagar, 14 from Baramulla, 12 from Budgam, 1 from Pulwama, 7 from Kupwara, 3 from Islamabad, 9 from Bandipora,10 from Ganderba, five cases were recorded in Jammu district, four in Reasi, three each in Doda and Poonch districts, one each in Rajouri and Leh districts.
While warning of strict measures in case the violations of the COVID SOPs continue in Srinagar, the district administration claimed that Srinagar could trigger the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the territory. Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Aijaz Asad said from the last one week, Lal Bazar has reported 20 positive cases, Bemina 17 and Chanapora 18 which is not a good trend at all.
Meanwhile, the locals, talking to media men, said that the increase in COVID positive cases in Srinagar is because of the repeated violation of the COVID protocols by the authorities.
