Jammu martyrs of November 1947 remembered

Muzaffarabad, November 06 (KMS): A rally was held in Muzaffarabad, today, under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir to remember the Jammu martyrs of November 1947.

A large number of people who were holding banners with anti-India slogans and chanting slogans against Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir participated in the rally.

The speakers addressing on the occasion, said, “The painful memories of the martyred Muslims of Jammu, who were subjected to cruelty are still alive in the hearts of Muslims.”

They maintained that the then Indian government, through an organized conspiracy, had killed lacs of Muslims in connivance with the terrorists to turn the Muslim-majority Jammu into a minority. Hindu extremist groups had deceived the oppressed and helpless Muslims in hope of migration to Pakistan,” they said.

The speakers added that before the November 6, 1947 massacre and migration, Muslims were in the overwhelming majority in Jammu, but the unilateral war imposed on unarmed Muslims by the Indian rulers turned them into a minority.

They paid tributes to the Jammu martyrs for their struggle, migration and sacrifices for Islam, freedom and Pakistan and said that even today India as an aggressor and terrorist state in the occupied territory had adopted the same attitude.

The speakers urged the United Nations, OIC, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and other international human rights organizations to take notice of the Indian state terrorism in IIOJK.

The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, PPP leader, Shaukat Javed Mir, Usman Ali Hashim, Azmat Hayat Kashmiri, Dr Muhammad Manzoor, Aimal Farzam and others addressed on the occasion.
