APHC-AJK remembers Jammu martyrs of 1947

Islamabad, November 06 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has paid glowing tributes to the Jammu martyrs of 1947 and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their struggle for right to self-determination till complete success.

APHC-AJK chapter held a round-table conference at its office in Islamabad, today, with Convener, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, in the chair.

Addressing the conference, the Hurriyat leaders said that more than three lac Muslims of Jammu sacrificed their lives for the Kashmir cause. They said that the killing of Muslims of Jammu, including women and children, by Indian militant soldiers and Hindu extremists was a question mark for the entire civilized world.

The Hurriyat leaders said that sacrifices of the Jammu martyrs would never go waste. They said that the people of Kashmir had been struggling for their birthright to self-determination since 1947 and despite the Indian oppression, they were committed to take the freedom movement to its logical conclusion.

They expressed concern over the growing Indian oppression in the occupied territory and warned India that its brutal policy and intransigence over the Kashmir dispute would cast dangerous consequences on the entire region.

The Hurriyat leaders said Kashmir is the issue of self-determination of millions of Kashmiris and the United Nations has recognized it a disputed territory. The United Nations resolutions are the best way to settle the lingering Kashmir dispute, they added.
