India deploying more troops in IIOJK to suppress freedom movement

Jammu, November 05 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Advocate Devinder Singh Bahl has deplored that India is deploying more troops in the territory to prolong its illegal occupation and suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement.

Devinder Singh Bahl in a statement issued in Jammu, referring to the deployment of more than 50 companies of Indian paramilitary forces, said India has converted the occupied territory into a military garrison. He said that the Indian troops were killing innocent Kashmiri people, especially youth, were committing the worst human rights violations in IIOJK.

Devinder Singh said that India should read the writing on the wall as it could not enslaved the Kashmiris for a long time. He said Kashmiri people have always expressed their hatred against India. He also condemned the arrest of Kashmiri students for celebrating the victory of Pakistan against India in a T20 World Cup match and demanded their immediate release.

Devinder Singh said that permanent peace cannot be established in South Asia without settlement of the lingering dispute according to the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He also urged India to start meaningful negotiation with Pakistan on Kashmir so that durable peace could be established in the region.
